In the last century, in the more rural area of Viseu, specifically in Valença do Douro, municipality of Tabuaço, Valdemar Lamas was a winegrower of reference. For decades, he was also an excellent employee on the finest estates in the Douro.
Years later, his son, António Lamas, wanted to pay tribute to his father’s legacy, who, over the years, ensured access to avant-garde technical know-how and guaranteed the acquisition and expansion of his vineyards. Throughout his life, he produced excellent quality grapes that would later be sold to other companies and properties.
In 2008, António Lamas, after retiring from his banking career, made good on his dream and founded Winecom to produce wines with his grapes as a tribute to his father’s dedication and work.
Today, the family’s third generation is privileged to continue developing the Valle da Fonte project. And it’s all due to the desire of its mentor, who dedicated more than 40 years of his life to perfect the whole wine production process.

Aroma: Good aromatic complexity. Notes of white fruit and white flower. Well balanced with the well-integrated toasty barrel elements.
Taste: Fruity, fresh, good volume in the mouth with a delicate structure and persistent finish.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested grapes transported in 18kg boxes. Upon arriving at the winery, they were hand-picked on a selection belt, destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats for 3 weeks at a temperature of 14-15°C.
Ageing: After fermentation, the wine was partially matured for 6 months in French oak barrels.
Pairing: Excellent as an aperitif or to accompany fish dishes, seafood and white meats
Serving: 8°C
Observations: Store in a cool, dry place.
