Quinta do Lagar Novo
Are you ready for a trip back in time?
Here we go… In 1742 the old Lagar de Fuso house gave birth to Quinta do Lagar Novo after being acquired by the Elias Gonçalves de Carvalho family.
The Estate has approximately 5 hectares of vineyards that have already produced more than 200 harvests! That’s a lot of grape production history in the origins of wine production.
The estate is currently under the guidance of Luís Elias Gonçalves de Carvalho. His goal is to honour his ancestors and produce high-quality wines.
This project has specialised in white grape varieties with greater qualitative aptitude, in full respect of the historical records they have found and the region’s terroir. Furthermore, it has the particularity of involving the whole family in the production of Quinta do Lagar Novo wines. Not only Luís Elias, the father, but also his three children – Tiago with oenology, João with viticulture and Helena with design.
This Marsanne has a certain unctuousness in the mouth that coexists very well with the soft aromas in the nose and mouth.
