Aldeia de Irmãos
The story of this little Carochinha takes place near the Atlantic Ocean, in Sonega, nestled on the slopes of a mountain that overlooks Porto Covo, surrounded by a forest of cork oak, pine, and rockrose. It is, therefore, a hill with a special aroma.
The microclimate of the mountain favors the diversity of species that surround the vineyard, adding aromatic details to the grapes that grow there, a delight for the most refined noses!
Manuela Carreira and José César Macedo set out to fulfill a dream at Monte da Carochinha, to relive childhood memories and create wines with the freshness of the Atlantic breeze.
The predominantly schist soil hosts the 6 hectares of vineyards, spreading across gently sloping areas.
It’s an idyllic environment for the birth of grapes with a calm and tranquil personality, yet bursting with aromas, sprinkled with the salinity that comes from being close to the sea.
It’s time to raise a glass to the realization of dreams with the product of one of them!
Whether at the table or watching the sunset.
With family or friends.
New acquaintances or long-time companions.
The important thing is to toast to life every day!
